Made of fiber board. The design is embossed into the fiber board. Some shapes are "dipped" so they fit into the large hole in the seat of the chair, while others are more flat. The seats must be cut to fit the seat / shape of the chair. A band saw works very well. They are usually installed by nailing them to the seat frame with fancy brass upholstery tacks (available soon) spaced about an inch or so apart. The fiber seats can be stained and finished after installation. Staining will bring out the pattern of the seat.

*Sometimes the seats are pinkish, and sometimes they are approximately the color of a brown paper bag.*
